About this speaker
Jane works for Brighter Futures to support people experiencing homelessness and multiple needs. She is inspired and moved by the passion and talents of the people she works with, and is proud to be part of the Housing First services in Stoke-on-Trent and Coventry.
Over the last 20 years Jane has worked in several of Brighter Futures’ services: the direct access hostel, mental health crisis house, mental health helpline, and supported housing – and has seen the transformation that effective services can bring to the lives of the most vulnerable people in our community. She has had the privilege of establishing services which fully integrate people with lived experience in the planning, design, oversight and delivery of support, and has seen how that makes a crucial difference to the culture and effectiveness of services.
Jane delivers training on the principles and practices of Housing First; and I have co-facilitated Practice Forums to support Housing First teams to reflect on and develop their practice.
