About this speaker
Dr. Sam Tsemberis is a clinical-community psychologist who originated the “Housing First” model based on the belief that housing is a basic human right. Currently serves as CEO of Pathways Housing First Institute and Clinical Associate Professor, UCLA Department of Psychiatry. Dr. Tsemberis consults with programs addressing homelessness, mental illness, and addiction across the US and Canada, the EU, Australia, New Zealand, and South America. He has published numerous articles, book chapters, and two books on these topics and his work has been recognized by National Alliance to End Homelessness, American Psychiatric Association, American Psychological Association, and the Lieutenant Governor of Canada.
