About this speaker
Professor Sarah Johnsen is a Professorial Fellow in the Institute for Social Policy, Housing and Equalities Research (I-SPHERE) at Heriot-Watt University. Much of Sarah’s research focuses on homelessness, addiction, and related forms of street culture (e.g. begging and street drinking). Housing First has been a specific subject of research interest for Sarah for more than a decade. She led the evaluation of the UK’s first Housing First pilot (in Glasgow), and is currently involved in evaluations of the major city region Housing First pilots in England and Housing First Scotland Pathfinder programme.
